Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with Honors from Washington State University. Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. Master of Public Administration (government emphasis) from Seattle University.
Experience
I worked as an undergraduate tutor for biology, chemistry, and psychology while at WSU. I also taught undergraduate chemistry labs as a teaching assistant. After graduation, I attended veterinary school for 1 year before deciding that I did not want to be a vet. However, that gave me a great deal of experience with anatomy and physiology, as well as pathology, microbiology, and other biological sciences. After getting my education degree, I taught high school biology, earth science, and health at a challenging college preparatory school, with impressive test score results from my students. On the AZ standardized biology test, my students had a 96% pass rate in 2008 and 2009. The state average for both years was below 50%. Last year I finished a Master's in Public Administration and currently work full-time for the Nebraska legislature, but enjoy being able to help students when I have free time.

Hobbies
I love theater and music, and have tried to be involved with local theater groups. I spend most of my non-work time with my husband, daughter, and our numerous pets.
